About Laura

Laura’s passion to support children, young people and their families therapeutically, stems from her background as a registered Social Worker working within a large Local Authority. Laura’s journey began within the Looked after Children Team, working with children made subject to different plans of permanency.

Whilst holding the post of Senior Practitioner within permanency/adoption , Laura led and supervised a team of children and family workers completing life storybooks. Laura also delivered experiential training to staff, foster carers, senior managers and students aswell as preparing briefings for external professionals.

Laura’s developing journey over the years has seen her completing therapeutic accreditations underpinning her already established practice, delivering high quality therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families experiencing issues such as complex trauma, developmental delay, attachment difficulties, abuse, emotional and behavioural concerns.

Laura practices from an attachment perspective, using her creative tool kit to adapt to each client thereby helping children to communicate their inner experiences and help to heal their painful pasts and hurtful histories. Laura works with a number of public, individual and private providers offering her services, consultancy and experiential training.

Laura is based in the West Midlands area and provides a service within a wide geographical area. If you would like more information or would like to refer please call 07933 178553 or complete the 'contact Laura' form . Laura also offers many of her services nationally throughout the UK.
