What is it?


Heavily influenced through attachment theory, demonstrating that humans have an inherent, innate, biological desire for meaningful relationships. According to attachment theory, a secure attachment develops when parents are sensitive to the needs of their children and consistently available. 

Following an initial conversation, it is important that we arrange to meet to talk through your families needs and establish whether this is the most appropriate therapeutic intervention. Primarily, we would work with the parent(s) first before bringing the child/ young person into the therapeutic space. Through PACE (Playfulness, Attunement, Curiosity, Empathy) we would work together to help make sense of your parenting experiences and support you to think about different ways of  responding to your child and work to develop or rebuild an emotionally secure relationship.
